The "Giostra dell'Arme" of San Gemini, now in its 51st edition, is a traditional historical event held in the medieval village of San Gemini, in Umbria. It is a historical equestrian reenactment with roots in the Middle Ages, a time when tournaments and jousts were common. However, this event is part of a larger program of celebrations that, beyond the sporting aspect, involves the entire town and includes parades and historical performances. During the "Corteo Storico", the town's two districts, Rione Piazza and Rione Rocca, competed with the aim of reproducing medieval medicine as faithfully as possible. To develop this theme through scenes of daily life from that era, both factions chose to purchase our leeches, which paraded through the town in celebration of its rich medieval past.

Rione Piazza emerged as the winner of the "Corteo Storico", but we are certain that both factions gave their best, and we hope that our leeches played a central role in the event.
